This is the new Burnley fourth shirt 2020, a special edition one-off kit to be worn by the Clarets for their clash away at West Ham later today (July 8, 2020). With the Premier League deeming that their green third kit couldn’t be worn against David Moyes’ men, kit manufacturers Umbro have come up with this white jersey for this Round 34 clash at the London Stadium.

Burnley, somewhat interestingly, did wear green when they took on Aston Villa away from home earlier this season- a fixture that ended in a 2-2 draw.

The Liverpool-Villa game over the weekend was criticised for being tough to watch for colour blind fans, and that has perhaps played a role in the league asking Burnley to wear this special strip here. The white kit is unlikely to be made available for sale to the general public.

Absolutely crackers. Shirts nice though.
The Premier League’s kit rules are tough to understand at times…..
Fourth kits are a nonsense, which this one proves very well.
How the hell is claret matching green
