This is the new Rangers 3rd kit 2014/15, Glasgow Rangers’ new alternate kit for the upcoming 2014/15 Scottish Championship season. The new Rangers 3rd kit has been made by Puma and was officially unveiled by new signing Kenny Miller on June 5, 2014.
The shirt is predominantly red and has 1872 detailing on the cuffs, as can be seen in the pics below.
The kit is sponsored by 32Red

Is that the union jack I see in the kit?
Hope
its oot for the big walk belter watp
Considering the Union Jack design, it will be very interesting if Scotland become an independent nation midway through 2014-15…
Very nice shirt.
what does the 1872 stand for?
Love the subtle date on the shorts..now then forever
Simple, but good enough for a third jersey.
Really cool kit I thought, then – hang on a second – is that a Union Jack by jingo? I’ve never seen a more provocative football shirt.
And what’s the 1872 about? Surely 2012 would be more appropriate.
not a fan of puma kits,but this is not to bad!
Is that a leftover from last years Team GB’S Olympic kit ?
Awful pattern on the shirt. Bloody mess.
We get it Zombie FC, you’re really, really proud to be British. And yeah, not sure sure why a club formed in 2012 has 1872 on their shorts.
And can you really describe Kenny Miller as a new signing? How many spells has he had with Rangers/Celtic/the rest of the lot?
Not bad. I’ve liked a lot of Rangers shirts lately, seems Puma pull their finger out when it comes to Rangers. Very nice top
It’s desperate times when this kind of nonsense is rolled out. I would hope that fellow Rangers supporters would see through this and just say NO!
What are the 5 stars for????
They’ve only one 2 Championships neither being the SPL
Ah…I’m assuming by the 1872 they are still pretending they are another club then?
maybe its because glasgow rangers founded in 1872??
@dgknszk
That kit says it all really.
Everything about it is wrong.
But this is not the same Glasgow Rangers, the current club are a new company registered as “The Rangers Football Club Ltd” and were bought by an entity called Sevco Scotland Ltd who bought the assets of the 1872 Rangers after they were liquidated.
They changed the name to The Rangers as that is more identifiable brand than “Sevco”
I understand this is by all accounts a touchy issue in Scotland as fans of Rangers are in denial of the facts and wrongly assume the 2 entities are the same hence the previous achievements cannot be claimed by the current administration or any future ones for that matter
I remember the good old days when i bought the club before it got liquidated lol
I see they are still pretending to be the old rangers @ THE RANGERS 2012
HH
Wonder if they tops are more than a QUID
I once bought a fitba club for a QUID then fed the hordes with all sorts of crap, took more of their cash then liquidated their club pmsl
Now i live in Monaco next to Chuckie GREEN and we drink the finest wines and dine at the finest ” establishments ” pmsl
By far the easiest gullible set of folk i ever fleeced money off in ma puff
Like taking candy from a wean lol
TRUE, they were but SEVCO SCOTLAND who got renamed the rangers 2012 were not
HH ; )
@Nicholaswoodcockrix
why do selic supporters always want to have their say regarding rangers? do they not have enough to talk about on their side of the city? or is it that they cannot see the green until they get past the blue. it’s a sad day in football if you can’t stick to your own team or in fact your own league. lol. WATP. C’Mon the gers
We will always be Rangers FC (formed 1872).
Club = football team.
Company = the board (they don’t actually play football)
For all the selic fans out there. these are 2 totally different things
Dj217 your crap on Clyde1 and keep telling yourself that nonsense. Absolute rambles.
1872 is a tribute to the team that were liquadated …gazza albertz the 9 in a row team never played for this rangers .
@dj217
@dj217 **celtic**. We spelling mistake there partner..
Leftover bits of that UK Olympic football team strip, dyed red.
Ironic.
I suppport Arsenal so no idea where you are coming from mate
@dj217
How very convenient for yourselves, are you really that deluded as I certainly hope not.
@dj217
why does the kids kit not have the sponser on cause its a betting site when you can have wonga on a maggy kit wrong as fark a blame the fennian goverment conservitive c * * ts yes cameron you european
Jobe, I think you’re confused more than anyone, you state Rangers being a new club and should have 2012 in place of 1872, then you go on to question Kennys return to the same club for a 3rd time, surely it’s the first time?
Really, nice!
Has a nicely sectarian element to the design.
is there a release date for this yet? does anyone know off?
A political statement like this has no place on a football kit. I’m a Rangers fan but this is a pretty cynical move. Mining sectarianism for profit is pretty disgusting.
Just for the obsessed.
Same colours, same badge, same ground, same supporters, same trophy room, same name.
Nice to see all the sectarian comments – proving that you know nothing about it.
Nice shirt.
@Gersman
Touche’ sir, got to get my insults straightened out.
@Nicholaswoodcockrix
Why u concerning ur self with The Gers then muppet
@jabba
1872 is the year Rangers were founded
@jabba
The year Rangers were formed.
There is no need for a British Union Flag on a Scottish football shirt. Could you imagine the uproar if Celtic had the Irish tricolour flag on their shirt? It’s the same situation, and in 2014 there’s no need for this any more. Rangers (sorry… The Rangers) seem to be in denial regarding their history. They’re not a big team yet, so their history is all they’ve got to cling on to. I’m more Rangers than Celtic, but I find this mentality from the Ibrox team a little pathetic, and shows even under new management, they can’t move forward.
It’s called the butcher’s apron.
