This is the new Bristol City home kit 12/13, Bristol City FC’s new home shirt for the 2012/13 season. The release of the new BCFC away kit 2012/13 comes around a month and a half after Adidas unveiled the club’s 2012/2013 season change kit. Bristol City’s new home strip was officially revealed on 2 July, 2012.
The home top is predominantly red in colour, but it is the addition of black that has had the fans up in arms. Blackthorn are the principal sponsors of the home kit as well as the goalkeeper kit, which is blue in colour. The Adidas stripes on the sleeves are white in colour on both the outfield and the keeper jerseys.
The shirt is paired with red shorts and socks, as can be seen in the pictures below.

Remove the black bit on the shirt and change the shorts to white
why is the blackthorn logo in black?
@Dan thats what they shud do , the three stripes end when they get to the black bit
dont know much about City’s history, but where has all the black come from?
Awful, what happened to Red shirts and white shorts? Last time we had red & black was in the dark days of 1982, we know what happened then!
LOVE it!
I agree!
As a BRFC fan, Im lovin this!!!
Thats Adidas teamwear for you 🙂

Is it just me or is the badge very high up the chest on the home strip?
Great kits but without these terrible stripes it would be even better
I really like it
I can only say it is ok, i don’t like it and i dont love it. The black bit looks like a child has put it on top, the collar is finally sorted out, but the badge is very high, the black looks stitched ontop the stripes, the blackthorn logo in black doesn’t make it stand out, what happened to the white logo so you can see it? What happened to the 3 stripes, what happened to tradition? I know they are saying we need to change into a new image but atleast give us a kit that the fans love not some shirt with a randomly stitched black block.
Personally i would go for the keepers kit, always looks good, but the home strip looks bloody awful! – East ender.
As an outsider I can say this is probably the nicest shirt I’ve seen ahead of this season. Think it looks absolutely brilliant. Obviously I sympathise with the Bristol fans, but at least you don’t have three awful kits like my team Birmingham do.
