This is the new Watford kit 2022/23, Watford FC’s new home shirt for the upcoming Championship season. Made by Spanish company Kelme, the full kit was officially unveiled on July 1, 2022 by the club. The Hornets were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 21/22 campaign.
The new jersey celebrates 100 years of Vicarage Road (first game on 30 August 1922) and that is reflected in various parts on the shirt- the Vicarage Road 100 years on the back, and the Vic 100 inside the neck. It also has a “W” pattern on the jersey.
The shirt will be paired with predominantly black shorts & yellow socks with red and black detailing, as can be seen in the pics below. Stake.com appear on the front of the shirt.
Red shorts might have made it better, but not a bad effort this from Kelme.
Glad they’ve kept the black shorts, although red seems to be popping up a bit
Love the home shirt.
