South Africa have officially signed a new kit deal with French manufacturer Le Coq Sportif that will see the latter replace Nike as the country’s official uniform suppliers. The LCQ Bafana deal is for a period of five years beginning June 1, 2020 and brings to an end SAFA’s six year association with Nike that began in 2014.
This is the second big international kit deal in Africa for Le Coq Sportif, who also replaced Puma at Cameroon last year. They also provide jerseys to Serie A club Fiorentina.
Football in SA has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has also forced the country to go into a lockdown for 21 days.
