Click here to see the green Ajax away shirt for 2019/20- released May 15, 2019
This is the new Ajax home shirt 2019/20, Ajax Amsterdam’s new primary uniform for the upcoming Eredivisie season. The new Ajax 19/20 home jersey was officially unveiled on 9 May, 2018, a day after Erik Ten Hag’s men were eliminated in heartbreaking fashion from the Champions League tie by Tottenham Hotspur. They were seconds away from reaching the final before Lucas Moura’s stoppage time winner took Spurs though on away goals.
The new Ajax kit retains the club’s famous white and red colours, but has some black detailing as well. The logo, for instance, will be a black one on a white background. This Adidas creation is a nod to their glory years of the 1990’s and pays tribute to the city of Amsterdam, where the club are based.
Despite its early release date, the kit will however not be worn by Ajax in 18/19- it will only make its on-field debut in pre-season. Ziggo remain principal sponsors.
The reception to this kit would’ve been fantastic had they reached the final.
Reckon they should’ve delayed the kit launch after last night’s loss.
Same old kit.
Classic kit just as it should be.
