This is the new Rio Ave away shirt 2018/19, Portuguese Liga side Rio Ave FC’s new alternate uniform for the upcoming league season. Made by Nike (who take over as kit partners from Adidas), the new Rio Ave away jersey was officially unveiled on 4 June, 2018 by the northern outfit.
The shirt features fluoro detailing on a black background and has MEO as its principal sponsor. Rio Ave finished fifth in Portugal last season behind the quartet of Porto, Benfica, Sporting and Braga, but picked up a spot in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League because tiny CD Aves, who were originally due to compete in the EL thanks to their Portuguese Cup win, failed to obtain their UEFA license.
Midfielder Ricardo Jose Vaz Alves Monteiro, better known as Tarantini, is here seen modelling Rio Ave’s new Nike kit.
Edit– Added the new white third kit that was released on June 5, 2018.
