These are the new Cape Town City FC jerseys 2017/18, Premier Soccer League side Cape Town City’s new home and away shirts for the upcoming South African top flight season. Made by Umbro, the new kits were officially unveiled on 3 August, 2017.
The 2016/17 season was Cape Town City’s first as a PSL franchise. They were formed when John Comitis bought the league license of the Mpumalanga Black Aces and relocated them from Mbombela to Cape Town.
The side had an impressive first season. Under coach Eric Tinkler (member of South Africa’s 1996 AFCON winning squad), they finished third in the league behind Bidvest Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns, and also managed to win the Telkom Knockout Cup.
The blue and yellow top will serve as CTCFC’s new home jersey, with the other being the alternate. At the time of release, the shirt has no sponsor.
