This is the new Bayer Leverkusen kit 2017/18, Bayer 04’s new principal strip for the upcoming Bundesliga season. The new uniform, made by Jako, was officially unveiled at 19:04 in the evening (1904 is the year of Bayer’s founding) on the 12th of July, 2017.
Bayer finished a disappointing 12th in the Bundesliga in 2016/17, meaning no Champions League football in 2017/18 for a team that qualified for the Round of 16 last season ahead of Spurs and CSKA Moscow. They’ve already lost the likes of Calhanoglu, Toprak and Papadopoulos this summer and might lose Javier Hernandez, with West Ham reportedly interested in the former United forward.
However the Bender brothers have re-united, with Sven arriving from Dortmund to join sibling Lars.
The jersey remains black with some diagonal stripe detailing, as can be seen in the pics below.
