This is the new Cardiff City kit 2016/17, Cardiff’s new home shirt for the upcoming 2016-2017 Championship season. Made by Adidas, the new Bluebirds strip was officially unveiled on May 7, 2016 and was worn by the players in their fixture against Birmingham City. More good news for fans after the transfer embargo was lifted by the Football League today.
The shirt, as you’d expect from Cardiff, is predominantly blue, with a white neck and white Adidas stripes across the shoulders. Blue shorts and socks, both with white trim, complete the new Cardiff City strip for 2016/17.
The Bluebirds narrowly missed out a playoff spot this season.
Visit Malaysia remain shirt sponsors, as can be seen in the pic below.
Awfully unimaginative from Adidas. It’s been too long since Cardiff shirts have featured yellow
It won’t win any awards, but it’s blue, and Cardiff fans are happy all around after Slade’s demotion and the lifting of the embargo, so it’ll be received well.
[checks to make sure that it’s still blue]
…Carry on, carry on.
It’s basically the Euro 16 Wales kit but blue. Considering it’s Cardiff, capital of Wales, I think that’s acceptable
Cardiff could almost be the only club with stripes on the shoulders instead of on the side of the body! At least he has his socks on the right way ’round unlike the Chelsea photo !
i know its blue but its so boring. Really a nothing effort from Adidas
