These are the new Afghanistan football kits, the Afghan national football side’s new uniforms for the 2016 international season. Made by Hummel, the new Afghan 2016/17 soccer jerseys were officially unveiled on March 8, 2016.
A key unique feature is in the design of the women’s kit, where Hummel have provided an integrated hijab in a baselayer to ensure that the country’s players can fulfill their religious obligations while playing football. The Danish company also chose International Women’s Day to launch the new kits
The shirt features a lion motif on the front (the Afghan national team are nicknamed the Lions). On the back of the jersey is the 1922 wordmark, indicating the year of founding of the AFF
The red jersey will serve as Afghanistan’s new home kit, with the white top set to be the away/alternate top.
Interesting idea for Women’s Day. Don’t think Herr Sepp would approve of it much though 😀
Home and Away, those are two beautiful kits. Would have thought the socks should have black trim/arrows rather than white though.
I prefer cartoons from Denmark,
and freedom of thought/expression…
A big ‘MEH’ for the kits also.
