This is the new Revolution home jersey 2016, New England Revolution’s new principal strip for the forthcoming MLS season. The Revs finished 5th in the Eastern Conference in 2015 and 10th overall and were defeated in the knockout round of the MLS Cup playoffs by D.C United
Made by Adidas, the new Revs home shirt features a design inspired by the jackets of the revolutionary war era, with a red and white bar adorning the centre of the jersey. While that’s how it’s been marketed, we can’t help but remember a similar design on the Hamburger SV top from a couple of seasons ago.
The Revolution were one of the founding clubs of Major League Soccer back in the 1990’s, and paying homage to that fact is the “Est. 1996” inside the collar. On the back of the neck is the New England flag.
United Healthcare are the sponsors of NE Revolution’s 2016 home strip, continuing an association that began back in the 2011 season
New England will debut this new strip in their first home game of the season on March 12, 2016 against D.C United
German club Hamburg’s home shirt from a couple of years ago
PSG come to mind. Not good enough Adidas.
As a Revs fan, it’s disheartening to see we got more or less a retread of an already used design. Adidas need to do better.
Derby is spot on with not good enough adidas only thing is it reminds me of the Hamburger S.V as stated above first thing that came to mind when I seen this jersey it’s just a very simler template to that Hamburger S.V Jersey rehashed with very slight alterations. Very lazy work from adidas on this MLS Jersey.
I disagree wholeheartedly with the earlier comments. This is a great shirt.
A same year release and its ok.
A couple of years ago says yesterdays diapers.
