Hyundai A-League outfit Newcastle Jets have today (November 18, 2015) unveiled a special RAAF jersey that they will wear when they take on Brisbane Roar at the Hunter Stadium on November 28.
The jersey, made by partners BLK, attempts to strengthen ties between the Jets and the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) with the match between the Jets and the Roar named the “RAAF Base Williamtown round” round. The military base is around 15 km north of Newcastle, NSW, where the Jets are based.
Apart from being named the “Jets”, Newcastle’s A-League team also have branding featuring three F/A-18 Hornets. At the time of writing this article, the Jets are fifth in the 15/16 A-League table, tied on points with third place Melbourne Victory, Western Sydney Wanderers and Wellington Phoenix.
