These are the new Japan shirts 2016/17, the Japanese national team’s new home and away tops for the 2016 international season. Made by Adidas, the new Japan football kits were officially unveiled on November 11, 2015 and will first see action in their forthcoming Asian World Cup qualifier against Singapore, with the likes of Kagawa (ex Manchester United and now Dortmund), Nagatomo (Inter) and Honda (Milan) donning the new uniforms.
The new Japan home jersey 2016/2017 features 11 different shades of blue (representing 11 players) and a red line to mark the supporters (12th men).
The away kit is white with blue diamond graphics on it (reflecting the personality of the 11 players)
Japan have made it to the last five World Cups, beginning with France ’98 and will be keen to keep their proud record intact by qualifying for Russia 2018.
