This is the new Hamburg home shirt 2015/16, Hamburger SV’s new principal strip for the upcoming Bundesliga season. The club narrowly escaped relegation in 2014/15, surviving a two legged relegation playoff against Karlsruher SC to stay in the top flight. Hamburg are the only German Bundesliga side to have never been relegated, and they preserved their proud record, albeit by the skin of their teeth.
Made by Adidas, the new HSV 15/16 jersey was officially unveiled on July 2, 2015, although defender Dennis Diekmeier leaked a photo of the shirt on his official Instagram page several weeks before.
The shirt’s predominantly white, and features thin central red and blue stripes, thus incorporating all of HSV’s primary colours. The stripes flank sponsor Fly Emirates, as can be seen in the pics below. The cuffs, hem and Adidas stripes on the shoulder are all blue in colour.
Red shorts and blue socks complete the look of the new HSV home strip.
Matthias Ostrzolek is here modelling the new shirt.
Love Hamburg kits, such an unmistakable colour combination.
very nice.
So so disappointed in this HSV home kit if it had been any good I would have got one but it is not. HSV forever & ever.
So kind of ‘as you were’ then…
I think this is a really good kit and good use of colours on the shirt. Very smart.
