This is the new Orlando Pirates away jersey 15/16, South African club Orlando Pirates’ new alternate shirt for the upcoming Premier Soccer League season. The new OPFC alternate jersey has been made by Adidas and was officially unveiled on June 2, 2015. The Bucs, runners up in the African Champions League in 2013, finished fourth in the PSL in 2014/15 behind Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits.
The kit in design resembles Aberdeen’s home strip for the 15/16 season
Pirates are a very well supported club in South Africa along with rivals Orlando Chiefs, with the derby between the two sides attracting record attendances when they play at the FNB Stadium (~90K)
Last season’s Pirates away shirt was red in colour too. It featured a white collar, which is no longer present on the current jersey.
