Swiss Champions FC Basel’s new 15/16 home kit has been officially unveiled by Adidas. Basel have already been crowned Swiss league champions for 2014/15, finishing ahead of the likes of Young Boys and Zurich. FCB have dominated football in Switzerland for the last few seasons and have won the last six league titles on offer in the Super League.
Basel’s new home shirt is predominantly red and blue, the two principal colours of the RotBlau, but there are also generous amounts of black on the sleeves, side and the back. Black is a prominent colour on the Basel city coat of arms.
In 2014/15, Basel qualified from a Champions League group that consisted of both Real Madrid and Liverpool, but lost out in the Round of 16 to FC Porto

The black’s probably a bit of overkill on the colours, maybe they could’ve removed it from the side and restricted it to the sleeves.
not a bad kit. Not that much different though.
Looks like there’s something missing on the left, probably a sponsor?
So annoying when kit manufacturers do what they like with a club’s kit and then try to retrospectively apply meaning to it. To imply that the black on this kit is somehow inspire by the black on the coat of arms just reeks of bullsh!t
I wanna get married in this kit
Not a good look at all last seasons was better.
Too busy. Any good designer should know not to use more than 3 colours. Especially when designing a sports kit. They should respect tradition and be aware of potential clashes.
I’m guessing Basle will need about five away kits now.
