New Napoli Kappa Jersey Deal- Kappa to replace Macron as kit partners

Napoli’s new 2015/16 season kits will be made by Kappa after the Partenopei inked a deal with the latter to replace Macron as the club’s official kit partners. The deal, for a period of five years, is apparently worth 8 million euros a season.

The deal sees Napoli return to Kappa after a gap of nine years. Kappa last outfitted the team in the 2005-06 season, following which the Naples side had partnerships with Diadora and Macron.

The deal is a big one for Kappa, which recently lost Sampdoria to Joma. Kappa will also allegedly be Leeds United’s new kit suppliers next season. Leeds, like Napoli, wore Macron in the 2014/15 season.

Edit- on 16 June, 2015- Leeds United officially announced that Kappa would be replacing Macron as kit partners. Five year deal. Kit to be revealed on July 9, 2015 to season ticket holders and officially launched on July 11. Simple white shirt design with no sponsor (other than the Kappa Logo)

This is what is said to be Leeds United’s new kit for the 2015/16 season. Leeds are currently oufitted by Macron, who have one year to go on their six year deal signed back in 2010. However the relationship between the two parties seems to have soured, with Macron reportedly in a “contractual dispute” with the club. They have filed a legal claim for £5m from the Whites as per the latest accounts released at Elland Road.

Owner Massimo Cellino is said to be looking for a new kit partner to replace Macron for the 2015/16 season, widely rumoured to be Kappa. The “leaked” Kappa shirt surfaced on the internet, and more interestingly, seems to have GFH capital as primary shirt sponsor. Continue reading
