Canadian apparel manufacturer Dryworld Industries has spread its wings by linking up with three clubs in the Campeonato Brasileiro. These deals are Dryworld’s first outside North America and the three clubs that have come on board are Rio giants Fluminense, Atletico Mineiro (also known as Atletico MG) and Goias.
Dryworld, who call themselves “the world’s leading independent sports brand” have specially developed a “Dryskyn” fabric for their humid climates of Brazil.
They have inked a five year deal with Fluminense to replace Adidas, beginning the 2016 season. The new deal with Goias is also apparently for five years. Continue reading
This is the new Independiente Santa Fe jersey 2016, Colombian club Santa Fe’s new home and away/alternate tops for the 2016 season, made by Umbro. Santa Fe won the Copa Sudamericana in 2015, beating Huracan on penalties in Bogota after both the home and away legs finished goalless. The kits celebrate the club’s 75th anniversary and were officially unveiled on 8 January, 2016.
Santa Fe have been with Umbro since 2009, when the Double Diamond brand took over from German manufacturers Puma.
This season’s home shirt sees Umbro employ a round neck look, with a predominantly red body and white sleeves. It’s not too dissimilar to Arsenal’s uniform, and there’s a historical connection to this similarity.
