New Olympique Lyon Kit 24-25 | Adidas OL Home Shirt inspired by Rhone & Saone Rivers

This is the new Lyon home kit 2024/25, Olympique Lyonnais’ new primary jersey for the upcoming Ligue 1 season. Made by Adidas, the new Lyon shirt was officially unveiled on May 15, 2024 by the club.

The design for the new jersey takes inspiration from the Rhone and Saone, the two rivers at whose junction the city of Lyon sits. The red and blue bands start from the v-neck- a nod to the Rhone and its tributary.

The back of the jersey is plain, as can be seen in the pics below. Emirates are primary shirt sponsors of this new OL 24/25 kit, with Mastercard appearing on the womens’ version.

The new OL jersey will make its debut when Lyon take on Racing Clube de Strasbourg this weekend (RCSA have already unveiled their new Adidas shirt for 24/25) Continue reading

The new home shirt is a nod to Racing’s kit from the mid 80’s (1986/87). It’s also one of the few RCSA shirts in recent memory to feature a polo collar.

On the reverse, one can see the phrase “Nous ne sommes pas onze mais des milliers” (We’re not eleven but thousands). The shirt will be paired with white shorts and blue socks.

Interestingly the stadium version will carry only the main shirt sponsor (ES Energies) but the authentic version has the other sponsor logos (Hager Group and Pierre Schmidt on the front, Wurth on the sleeve and Winamax and Soprema on the back) Continue reading
