Arsenal to wear blue third kit against Norwich City on Boxing Day

Arsenal will be in their third kit for the second league game running this season with the Gunners set to don their blue strip when they square off against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Boxing Day (December 26, 2021)

The Gunners wore the third shirt last weekend against Leeds in GW18, a fixture they won 4-1 against Marcelo Bielsa’s men. Prior to that, the third kit had only been seen in action on the opening day of the 2021/22 season against Brentford, where Mikel Arteta’s side lost 2-0 to the newly promoted Bees. GW18 Shirt Watch- Arsenal to wear blue third kit against Leeds

Arsenal will be wearing their blue third kit when they take on Leeds United in Round 18 later today. Fans will remember that the Gunners wore this very uniform for their season opener against Brentford, a fixture they lost 2-0 to the Bees back in August.

Kit observation- Leeds wore striking yellow socks with home uniform against Chelsea

Somewhat interestingly, Leeds United opted to wear YELLOW socks with their home kit when they took on Chelsea over the weekend. Leeds’ home socks are white, but with Chelsea opting to don white socks, LUFC chose to wear these striking neon ones, which actually appear to be the socks that normally accompany the yellow goalkeeper kit.

There was perhaps a case for Leeds possibly wearing their blue away kit socks in this game, but they decided against it. LUFC were the away side against Chelsea but lost a tight clash 3-2 at Stamford Bridge. Continue reading →
