New Manchester City signing Kalvin Phillips will wear the No.4 shirt at the Etihad during the upcoming 2022/23 season, the club have announced. The number was vacant since the legendary Vincent Kompany’s departure, but City have now opted to give it to the 26-year-old midfielder, who has moved from Elland Road for a fee of £45m (£42m + £3m in addons) and has inked a six year deal with the Citizens. New Arsenal signing Gabriel Jesus will wear the No.9 jersey at the Emirates Stadium, the club have announced. The number was worn by Alexandre Lacazette last season and was vacant following the French striker’s switch to Olympique Lyonnais. Jesus wore No.9 at Man City, and has thus kept the same number at his new club.
