This is the new Werder Bremen home shirt 2016/17, Werder’s new home strip for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Made by Nike, the new kit was officially unveiled on 1 July, 2016.
Werder finished 13th in the 2015/16 Bundesliga season, but required a late goal from Papy Djilobodji on the last day of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt to preserve their top flight status.
The uniform sees Werder wear a green and white hooped design for the first time in their history. Blue stripes adorn the side of the jersey, with orange detailing seen on the shoulders

When these Nike boys find a template they really stick to it! If one goes by the assumption that these cats are being paid a lot of money, you’d think that they’d be inspired inspired to come up with something less bland than what they’re producing right now. I really dislike whats happening with soccer gear these days and the absolute tragedy is the cost of these items of sh*t and even worse, people are buying it.
Im SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy QPR left Nike! Seeing this and what Dryworld did.
Nike are producing awful kits. Nike you really do need new designers. Never been a fan of Nike.
This kit is really ugly. And now that Werder have established orange as third colour since the last couple of years, Nike add purple stripes to the kit. Great.
Brian I could not have sead it better my self. The only football club top I have payed out for in time for next season is the Hamburger S.V home top &
the way things are going with football gear going up & up with every passing football season it could well be the last aswell.
See my self going more retro in the future in football terms.
