This is the new FC Goa home jersey 2019/20, Goa’s new primary kit for the upcoming Indian Super League season. Goa were runners up in the ISL in 2018/19, losing the grand final 1-0 to Bengaluru FC in extra time. They however did manage to win the Indian Super Cup against Chennaiyin, and will be kicking off the new 19/20 campaign against the same opponents next month.
The kit was launched at the Bambolim Athletic Ground in Panjim a few days ago. Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, coming off a 1-1 draw in the T20 series against South Africa, was also present at the launch. Kohli, one of the biggest sporting personalities in India, co-owns the club.
Goa boasted of an average attendance of 16,378. Unlike other clubs who sometimes struggled to draw crowds to low-profile games, their lowest attendance was 14,482, indicating a consistent, healthy following.
The predominantly orange jersey will be paired with orange shorts and white socks with orange detailing, as can be seen in the pics below.
