Mexican club Monarcas Morelia have unveiled their new 2013 kit made by Nike today ( January 3, 2013). Morelia, owned by TV Azteca, finished 5th in the 2012 Apertura season and lost in the Liguilla to Club America. The new Morelia shirt is quite similar to what Nike made for Barcelona’s 2012/13 away kit, using the same two shaded design in the jersey. Given that Barca’s jersey drew a fair bit of criticism at its unveiling, it comes as no surprise that several Morelia fans aren’t too pleased with what Nike have come up for their side.
The jersey will be unveiled when Morelia take on Cruz Azul in their first game of the Clausura season.
The shirt has been made using Nike’s dri-fit technology and like other recent releases, is made of recycled plastic bottles.
Looks better (?) than the Barca one
The mismatched shorts were a good call here. Much, much better look than Barcelona orange and yellow fade.
Not too shabby, if anything better the Barca’s away kit.
This is FC Barcelona shirt with different shorts.
