This is the new PSV centenary kit 2013, the new away jersey released by Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven to celebrate 100 years of their founding. PSV’s new 100th anniversary shirt ( 100 jaar jubileum shirt for 2013/2014) was officially unveiled on January 4, 2012 by the club. Nike have adopted a blue and gold design for this new PSV away uniform, with the goalkeeper shirts being yellow and white.
As mentioned above, the shirt is primarily dark blue in colour, with a gold Philips logo on the chest. Freo are the back of the shirt sponsors. There is also gold below the collar and on the sleeves. The jersey will be paired with either blue or white shorts, depending on the occasion.
The 100 years PSV jersey also features a special jubilee logo to commemorate the occasion.
PSV have also unveiled two new goalkeeper shirts- one yellow and the other white, both of which bear the same Nike design from recent occasions ( see Everton’s 2012/13 goalie kit in our archives for example)
The logo’s nice, but I’d be somewhat disappointed with Nike if I were a PSV fan. Nothing that original, but not too bad.
Will this be PSV’s away shirt for the 2013/2014 season? Are they expected to wear it in any recent fporthcoming game, given that the 2012/13 season is just over half way done?
