This is the new NYRB away shirt 2016, New York Red Bulls’ new alternate strip for the 2016 MLS season. NYRB won the Supporters’ Shield in 2015, finishing as the team with the best league record across both Conferences, but lost the Eastern Conference MLS Cup playoff final to Columbus Crew.
The new NYRB secondary jersey is predominantly blue with yellow sleeves. The Adidas stripes, moved to the side, instead of their usual place down the shoulders, are also yellow.
The Red Bulls have paid homage to their original form (they were the MetroStars till Red Bull took over the club). Red & black (the original Metrostars colours), can be found inside the back of the neck, where the words “Love.Fight.Passion.Glory” are written. Above these words is the “Est 1996” indicating the MetroStars’ role as one of the founding members of the MLS
There is a also MetroStars inspired crest behind the club badge, reminding fans, that New York, “at heart” is red.
On the upper back of the jersey is the New York wordmark, with the words “New York Red Bulls” appearing on the lower part. The strip is completed by yellow shorts and blue socks
The jersey will first see action when the Red Bulls do battle against Montreal Impact on March 12, 2016.

Red Bull change the clubs name back or pack your bags Red Bull & get out of our league but the MLS will not do this as for them it’s all about the cash & not the fans& this kit is just rank as a result of corporate greed from both M.L.S & Red Bull.
