This is the new PSV away jersey 2024/25, Dutch club PSV Eindhoven’s new alternate shirt for the upcoming Eredivisie season. Made by Puma, the new PSV away kit was officially unveiled on May 10, 2024.
The bright colour design on the shirt is a nod to Phillips (test card tribute; PSV stands for Philips Sport Vereniging and it was originally formed as a club for Phillips employees). The first televised football match in the Netherlands took place in 1950 between PSV and Eindhoven, with Phillips playing a big role in the technology for the game.
PSV also have a new sleeve sponsor in 24/25 in the form of 50+ Mobile. The new away shirt will be worn for the first time this weekend when the club take on Fortuna Sittard. PSV have already been crowned Eredivisie champions for 23/24- they’ve lost just one game domestically this season.
When I first saw the shirt, I wondered what that hideous design was!
The explanation made it a tad better, but if they had to go with it, maybe do an image of the actual TV test card on the shirt?
