This is the new NUFC kit 2016/17, Newcastle United’s new home top for the upcoming Championship season. Made by Puma, the strip was unveiled by new Magpies signing Dwight Gayle on July 1, 2016. The official launch date for the kit will be July 8, 2016.
Newcastle were relegated from the Premier League to the Championship along with Norwich and Villa, but will be aiming for an immediate return to the top flight after managing to convince Rafa Benitez to stay and coach them in English football’s second tier.
The new shirt features the club’s signature stripes (which go all the away round), paired with black shorts and hooped socks. Wonga remain principal shirt sponsors.
