This is the new German home shirt for 2014, Germany’s new home kit for the 2014 World Cup. The new strip has been made by Adidas and was officially unveiled on November 12, 2013. The Germans will be one of the favourites for the upcoming World Cup, given their form in major tournaments over the last few years. They finished 3rd at the 2006 and the 2010 World Cups, and were runners up at Euro 2008 and semifinals at Euro 2012.

    Not sure about the chevron on it, but it’s way better than some of the others Adidas have come up with.

    I gotto say, it’s NOT a traditional German kit, but it looks really good. I thing i’ve picked up though, is that its not a chevron…. looking closely at the kit lying flat, it actually resembles the wings of an eagle and probably symbolises for the team to soar to greater heights.

    This team has what it takes to win a world cup.

    Adidas always make the best kit for Germany. But I’m not sure with White shorts though. I hope the away one will be all black then in competition they will wear traditional white-black combination considering if they face teams with nike kits which now choose to not apply one colour kit (starting with France)

    I agree on Italy and Spain, but I think Germany can keep pace with Brazil – not saying they win, but I think they can manage Brazil a lot better than the other two.

    great shirt but agree with black shorts!! european teams rarely do well in the southern hemisphere.. having visited brazil their fans will accept nothing other than a win and thats where my money is going.
