How much will Barca earn from the Qatar Foundation deal?
€150m ( over five years), or £125m.
Barcelona’s Qatar Foundation sponsored kits will be unveiled on Monday by new club president Sandro Rosell. The kit sponsorship deal was announced by the club’s economic vice president Javier Faus.
Barcelona currently wear UNICEF on their shirts and receive no money from the children’s charity for doing so. The new five year kit sponsorship deal with Qatar Foundation is a first in the club’s history.
However the UNICEF logo will not disappear from the shirts- but both the UNICEF and Qatar Foundation logos will appear on the kits.
This kit sponsor deal ends an era in Barcelona’s football history- they were the only Spanish club not to display paid advertising on their strip.
