This is the new Bengaluru FC shirt 2016, Bangalore based Indian I-League outfit Bengaluru FC’s new home jersey for the 2015/16 season. Made by Puma, the new Bengaluru FC 15/16 jersey was officially unveiled on December 22, 2015. The 2015/16 edition of the I-League will begin in January 2016, a month after the conclusion of the rival Indian Super League season.
Bengaluru won the I-League in their debut season and came close to defending their title last season, but conceded a crucial late equaliser to Mohun Bagan in a crunch game that saw the title go to the latter. Bagan finished with 39 points to Bengaluru FC’s 37. Continue reading
This is what appears to be the new Ukraine home shirt 16/17, also Ukraine’s Euro 2016 jersey for next summer’s European Championships. Ukraine qualified through the playoffs, seeing off Slovenia over two legs to book their spot at France 2016.
While this Ukraine Euro 2016 shirt hasn’t been officially released, it’s very likely to be the real deal. Adidas have given Ukraine the same tartan template that has also been employed in the Scotland and Bosnia shirts. Continue reading
This is the new St.Pats FC jersey 2016, St.Patrick’s Athletic FC’s new kit for the 2016 League of Ireland season. Unlike Derry and Dundalk, who have parted company with Umbro, St.Pats have opted to stay with the Double Diamond brand, and officially unveiled their new strip on 18 December, 2015.
Pretty simple effort from Umbro- predominantly red body with a round neck, and white trim. US based Interior construction management firm Clune Construction L.P will continue their sponsorship of the club. Saints club chairman Garrett Kelleher is a close friend of Mike Clune, who founded the firm in 1979. Clune originally came on board in 2013 to replace Nissan. Continue reading
We love our stats here at FootballKitNews.com, and did a little bit of analysis to see what were the release dates for Premier League kits in the last five seasons (2011/12, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons).
Clubs these days practically release two new kits every season (in many cases three and sometimes even four!). Some like Liverpool used to make their home kit last two seasons, but even that’s changed since the Reds parted company with Adidas and went with Warrior/NB.
We’ve taken the first release date into account. This, in most cases, tends to be the home kit, but in some others (Newcastle most notably), tends to be the away/alternate strip.
Chelsea have released their new kit in April for four of the last five seasons. This year (2015/16) was an exception owing to a change in sponsor.
Another club to consistently reveal their new uniforms before the end of the current season were Crystal Palace (they normally do it at the end of season awards night). Liverpool have released their new kit on April 10 (yes, that specific day!) for the last two seasons in a row. Stoke have also been pretty much on the money with their release dates.
Thursdays and Fridays were the most popular days for new uniforms to be released. 65% of the first releases in the 15/16 season were done on one of these two days. Continue reading
