Bolton Wanderers have unveiled a new kit deal with Adidas that has seen the English club end their 22 year association ( the longest in English football history) with Reebok. The Trotters, who were relegated to the Championship on the final day of the 2011/12 season following a draw against Stoke City, announced the Adidas shirt deal today ( May 22, 2012). Reebok will however continue their association with the club as stadium naming rights sponsor.

The partnership begins from the 2012/13 season and is for an initial period of four years. The new Bolton Adidas 2012/13 kits will be launched in June.

    Thank chritst for that, a decent kit maker at last, only had one decent looking reebok kit in the last 5 years since we switched back from the all white numbers – and PLEASE don’t give os any yellow and black kits, they’re soooo not BWFC. Incidentally i heard the guy responsible for designing our last few kits is currnetly in hospital………apparently he was viciously savaged by his seeing-eye dog !!!

    Reebok are owned by ADIDAS… This is true, but they obviously don’t have the same designers as ADIDAS… This is the smartest move Bolton has made in years… If they’d only done this at the start if the season… A whole new look, a whole new attitude… Who knows what could have been… Oh well, that’s why i’m a Chelsea man myself… Hope to see Bolton back in the prems soon…

    Well said Mr French, totally different concept altogether. Just look at the last five kits Reebok produced for us (some of the blame though must go to Gartside and his fellow directors of BWFC as they accepted the designs as “suitable”) we’ve had ther backstrap design, and with the mustard and grey change kit, then the barcode design. We then had a season with a decent kit before the “jigsaw pattern” of last years campaign. Adidas’s design for our 3 kits from next season will be sleeker, smarter and altogether classier

    Sorry we relegated you chaps, and beat you 5-0 at wembley (5-0 at Reebok stadium is not as embarrasing trust me, nobody remembers that)
    see you soon duks

    fair enough about the kits, as the seasons went by they were getting worse…a bit like our footy this season, but, i wish they would change the badge back to how it was in the 70′s 80′s and 90′s..we have the worst badge in the league…a pathetic balloon..its a disgrace , and as fans we wern’t even asked.GET OUR BADGE BACK GARTSIDE!!

    @Rob
    You didn’t relegate us mate, despite a dodgy refereeing performance from Chris Foy, it was our own poor inconsistency throughout the season, along with numerous injuries to key personell.

    Hope we’ll see you back in the premier league in just over a season and, as a footnote, the 5-0 at Wembley was a freak result result and you know that

    @Mr French
    As much as I’m looking forward to the new kit, having it last August wouldn’t have prevented the freak injuries that decimated our squad – Chungy, Holden, Mears, Muamba & even Wheater at the end. Anyway, here’s to the new season with hopefully a fully fit squad & a smart kit to boot! :-)
