New Monaco Jersey 2017-2018 | Mbappe & Lemar help launch ASM home kit

This is the new Monaco kit 2017/18, AS Monaco’s new principal strip for the upcoming Ligue 1 season. Made by Nike, the new ASM home jersey was officially unveiled on 30 June, 2017. Monaco are the reigning Ligue 1 champions, winning their 8th title in 2016/17 after finishing eight points ahead of fancied PSG. It was their first domestic league crown since the 1999/00 season.

They also reached the semifinals of the Champions League before bowing out to Italian giants Juventus.

For what it is worth, ASM have included Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar in the promotions for their new kit, but no Bakayoko or Mendy.

The shirt features a diagonal design, as you’d expect with ASM. The sleeves are fully red and a white stripe runs down the side of the shirt and the shorts. The neck features golden detailing. FEDCOM remain principal shirt sponsors, as can be seen below.

This looks strange. That diagonal is in the wrong place.

But I guess that’s to enable the shirt number to be on a solid background as required by the Champions’ League.

It’s a much tidier placement of diagonal than usual. Doesn’t interfere with the sponsor and finishes nicely at the armpit. A real step up design wise and taken with the white shirts the diagonal sits nicely in the centre. Great proportions, I’m a huge fan of this shirt
