This is the new Ajax away shirt 17/18, AFC Ajax Amsterdam’s new alternate strip for the 2017/2018 Eredivisie season. Made by Adidas, the new Ajax away kit was officially unveiled on 16 May, 2017 by the club.

Ajax will take on Manchester United in the final of the Europa League next week in Stockholm after seeing off the challenge of Olympique Lyonnais in the last four. Peter Bosz’s side are a youthful bunch- the side he fielded on the weekend against Willem II in what could have been a potentially title winning game for the Amsterdam outfit (had Feyenoord slipped up against Heracles) had an average age of 20 years and 139 days, the youngest ever in Eredivisie history, with Davy Klaassen being the “oldest” of the bunch at 24.

The font and the lettering on the back are apparently inspired by the bridges in the city of Amsterdam.
