Black Celtic Top 16/17 | New Balance Glasgow Celtic Alternate Kit 2016-17

Two months after unveiling their new home strip for the 2016/17 season, Glasgow Celtic have today (4 July, 2016) followed it up with the release of their new alternate top for the upcoming Scottish Premiership season.

The new Celtic away shirt is predominantly black with gold detailing. The words “A Club like No Other” can be seen inside the back of the neck.

The logos of New Balance, Celtic FC and sponsors Dafabet are all in gold. Black shorts and socks, both with golden trim complete the look of the new away strip. The uniform uses Boston based New Balance’s moisture wicking NBDry technology.

NB have also revealed a “titan purple” alternate goalkeeper jersey.

I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t stand the designs from this kit manufacturer. They’re terrible.

I’ve always loved the away black & gold kits, especially with the gold trim.
I prefer the home top with either a straight V neck, or traditional round neck, so not so keen on collars or the grandad shirt look, this seasons kit, nice though it is, is not for me.
I wear a retro 1981 V neck on home match days, jungled up! Thems werra days!
There was a cracking b&g kit back in The KoK domination of Scotland, the closesed we have had had since is the Centenary kit which kinfa makes up for the lack of gold detailing with the silver celtic detailing in celebration arounf the club crest.
That’s my syrop worn for away games.

For me this away kit is a cracker!
The black & gold second kit, that and the bumble bee, are becoming a Celtic tradition and this black & gold number will be winging itself home to me ,……….as soon as It’s on sale!

I think it’s good but could be better without the stripes.
