New West Ham Away Kit 2016-2017 by Umbro

This is the new West Ham away kit 2016/17, WHUFC’s new alternate top for the upcoming Premier League season. Made by Umbro, the strip was officially unveiled on June 9, 2016 and is the first one for the new season to be released by the Hammers as they prepare to move to their new home- the Olympic Stadium.

The co-ordinates of the Olympic Stadium- 51.5386° N, 0.0165° W, can be seen inside the shirt.

Umbro have opted for a white alternate shirt, with light blue and claret trim. The colours draw inspiration from the club’s 1980 FA Cup final victory and their 1986 season. It is the same as the leaked photo put up by us on Twitter.

A new crest, first revealed in 2014, is seen on the jersey, with the Union flag on the sleeves, paying homage to the club’s origins and recognising the host of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Nothing wrong with that, smashing stuff, well done again, Umbro – even though you’re starting to get a bit chavvy and selling your tracksuits in George at Asda, you still keep pulling off class football kits.

Will have to wear their 3rd kit against Stoke, Southampton and Sunderland (possibly arsenal) but although the kit is decent, why the new crest? It’s ugly

    Smart kit.

Without the writing under the badge and the pointless Umbro writing on the sleeves West Ham would have the smartest kits this season by a mile.

New badge needs ‘London’ taking off it.

I thought the design would’ve been better, seeing as it’s their first season at their new home it’s a chance to be memorable. Socks are good however.

Three year rotation, IIRC. White, Oxford Blue, Cambridge Blue, broadly speaking.
