New Coventry City Kit 16/17 | Nike CCFC Home Shirt 2016-17

This is the new Coventry City kit 2016/17, Coventry’s new home uniform for the upcoming League One season. Made by Nike, the new Sky Blues strip was officially unveiled on June 1, 2016.

Coventry finished 8th in the 2015/16 League One season, five points behind Barnsley, who took the final playoff spot.

The new home shirt, sponsored by Allsopp on the front (and Midrepro on the back), features a gradient design and retains the club’s famous blue and white stripes. The back will however be fully white, as can be seen in the pics below.

The club have also announced the away strip will be unveiled later this summer and will go on sale in early July.

I like Coventry`s kits but this one is awful. Stupid gimmicky fading on the shirt ruins it completely.

As a CCFC fan I’m loving this kit. Some may not like the fact that it does fade and is kind of similar to last seasons but I genuinely believe this is great. I think we did good going with Nike never quite liked the puma kits. Hopefully we’ll have more success this season than last to. Onwards and upwards.

Even a chimp could tell you the colours should be the other way round. The back should be sky blue, and the stripes should fade up to sky blue at the top.

That’s the worst Coventry kit I’ve ever seen, and boy does it have some competition. Also, it’s pretty difficult to look intimidating when you’re sponsored by (presumably) a solicitors firm. This is a front-runner for worst 16/17 kit so far.

This would be more acceptable if the colours had been input into the template the other way round. There’s something very wrong about a mostly white Coventry shirt.

That said I’m glad we’re back to sky blue shorts. Yes I know last season’s with the navy was a reprisal of the Cup winners’ kit, but IMO the Sky Blues should be in all sky blue, as the late Jimmy Hill would have wanted.
