New Barcelona Kit 2016/17- Nike FCB Home Jersey 16-17

This is the new Barca kit 16/17, FC Barcelona’s new home strip for the upcoming 2016/2017 La Liga season. Made by Nike, the new uniform was officially unveiled by the Spanish champions on 30 May, 2016. The shirt features thinner tonal stripes and pays tribute to the kit worn by the Blaugrana team that won their maiden European Cup title at Wembley in 1992 against Sampdoria. Ronald Koeman netted the winner for FCB that evening.

Barca recently inked an extension to their contract with Nike. Originally due to expire in 2018 , it is now expected to run till 2026 and is reportedly worth £120m a year.

On the back, the word “Barca” is knit into the jersey. The Senyera (Catalan flag) also appears on the back while “Un Crit” and “Valent” are present inside the right and left cuffs respectively.

Blue shorts and socks complete the new Barca kit, with the option of wearing red socks also available to the club.

The likes of Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Neymar, Suarez and Iniesta are seen modelling the new Barca 16/17 strip.

Excellent kit – really modern looking whilst somehow incorporating a retro feel too. Such an improvement on the horizontal stripe abomination.

Fantastic kit, the best to come out of Barca in recent years.

    Will it remain sponsor-less?

Let’s be honest it’s a nice kit but it’s a total rip off for the fans. Not much different to kits of the past(last year being the exemption).

It looks like it will be of the same kind of quality as Nikes recent
International football kits that is to say it will feel like you are whareing a binbag I give this 2 out of 10 & it only gets to as a result of the strips comeing back to help the radicals hoops we had in the season just past.

It will be a F.C Barcelona retro top for me not this expensive binbag from Nike.

Go to hell with Nike give us something that is alest worth £65 in the first place clowns.

The watermark stripes really bring back memories – you could easily picture Hristo Stoichkov wearing that. Sales of this kit were always going to be high after the stupid horizontal stripes, and the retro design will help.

Fantastic specially that it contains no more Qatar’s name anymore.

I thought I already posted a comment here but maybe it didn’t go through. Anyways, I really like this kit and it’s good that Barcelona are back in their normal stripes and it’s also good to have no sponsor like their older kits, I hope they keep it like that.

I much preferred the horizontal stripes of this year. The above kit looks less like a homage and more like a dated kit in comparison.

very consciously retro. it’s a good return to their norm, although i’m surprised there are people still moaning about the horizontal stripes of this season’s kit.
