New Aberdeen Strip 2016-17 | Adidas Dons Home Kit 16-17

This is the new Aberdeen kit 2016/17, AFC’s new home top for the upcoming Scottish Premier League season. Made by Adidas, the new Dons kit was officially unveiled on 10 May, 2016 and will be worn by the club in their game against Ross County at Pittodrie this weekend (May 15, 2016)

The pinstripe design of the jersey pays homage to the club’s iconic 1983 European triumph. The Dons, then coached by Sir Alex Ferguson, beat both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid en route to the title. They also won the Super Cup by getting the better of Hamburg.

Aberdeen are the third SPL club to unveil their new 2016/2017 shirts after Celtic and Dundee FC

Not too bad, certainly looks like a Dons’ strip. But how can Adidas not get the sleeves and the body to be the same shade of red?

I like this, pin stripes look good and bring back good memories (1983, I still have that one) Would look better with the top button undone all the same!

Not a fan of Aberdeen F.C in any shape or form but I would say this is a vast improvement on there current home kit.
Adidas have stepped it up a notch or two for Aberdeen F.C. with this new home kit in my view I would give it
10 out of 10 even though it kills me to do so.

I am just hopeing if my team Ayr United go with adidas for next season then we get something like this for our home kit.

Am I the only one that doesn’t like buttons on football shirts? Just doesn’t look right to me when they include those and It’s been happening alot over the last few years.

Not the best Aberdeen shirt I’ve seen. Don’t like the collar.

Derby I would say the last time
Aberdeen had a home kit better than this was season 1996 – 1997 I just dont think Aberdeen have had many if any good home kits since then but I would say the same about my National team Scotland aswell for me it is the same with Chelsea away kits not been many good Chelsea away kits over the years ether.

Take the pinstripes off that shirt and it would have been better.

Bought mine last week, the front patch with the pinstripes is a lighter shade of red. Shoulder colour seems darker too, maybe different material?

@ajc70 – Older Dons fans have been pining for a shirt with white pinstripes for a few seasons, as we had them on our adidas kit in 1983, when we won the European Cup Winners’ Cup. It’s a nice throwback.

Should be BOTTLE-green, would suit their mentality better.
