New Swansea Joma Kit Deal- Swans to leave Adidas

Swansea City have announced that Spanish company Joma will supply kits for the club beginning the 2016/17 Premier League season. The Swans will be the only top flight club sporting Joma, and it brings to an end their five year association with Adidas.

Swansea are the second major PL club to leave Adidas at the end of 2015/16, with Southampton also parting ways with the German giants to join Under Armour.

Details of the deal were not announced, but Swansea said it was a “multi-year” contract. Joma currently have the likes of Toulouse, Sampdoria and Espanyol on their books and also supply kits to the likes of Romania and Honduras.

Joma also produced kits for Swansea’s bitter rivals Cardiff between 2005 and 2009.

Looking forward to see what Joma produce. It’s a big chance for them to make an impression on the market and the fanbase, hope they get it right and produce some quality stuff.

Very refreshing, I’m very glad that smaller suppliers are coming into the PL and the balance of power is shifting.

JonLCFC let’s hope the balance of power is shifting as far as kit manufactures go’s far to many clubs & national teams have addidas & Nike templates even if there was more Puma templates that clubs used it would be a start. I Would like to see a club like Newcastle United or Chelsea go with some one like
Joma or Under Armour like Spurs have just to many carbon copy template kits kicking about league all over Europe now.
