Leaked- New USA shirts for 2016/2017 (home and away)

A reader has sent us two pics of what appear to be the new USA kits for the 2016/2017 international season (will be also be worn at the Copa Centenario tournament later this year)

Both shirts feature the updated US soccer crest that was announced recently, which therefore does make these look like the real deal.

The away/alternate kit looks a bit odd though, a black number with red and blue sleeves that doesn’t appear very appealing at first glance.

Check out both kit pics here

    I don’t know what to make of them. The crest has a very 1930’s feel to it though, which is nice.

    Paulie I have to agree with what you have to say about both jerseys.

    I just think the new crest should have had stars incorporated in it somewhare when it was released the crest that is I know most American fans hate the new crest & did not think it represented American Soocer as they say Stateside very well I think most of them would have went for something more modern & dynamic.

    Just going on what was sead about the crest online.

    @Albert

    The previous crest gave the impression that they had won 3 World Cups, and that was ridiculous. https://www.google.ie/search?q=2014+usa+jersey&biw=1422&bih=1007&tbm=isch&imgil=-nQPiNd3JK8HJM%253A%253BeXLjfQY1fHXhTM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Freeddailey.com%25252Fevolution-of-the-usa-jersey%25252F&source=iu&pf=m&fir=-nQPiNd3JK8HJM%253A%252CeXLjfQY1fHXhTM%252C_&usg=__bgZfhNoAE3l2Qn4QH8g-hli0bYE%3D&dpr=0.9&ved=0ahUKEwi_o4-p77DLAhWCORQKHTbuBDYQyjcIJg&ei=4afeVv-uC4LzULbck7AD#imgrc=-nQPiNd3JK8HJM%3A

    In 2013, they had a “centennial” shirt – the crest was an update of their 1920’s Olympic crest, and the 1930 World Cup crest. soccerjerseyworld.files(dot)wordpress.com/2013/03/usa-2013-home-8(dot)jpeg

    The new crest is similar to the 1950’s World Cup one (where they beat England 1-0) ilb.worldsportshops(dot)com/Images/watermarked_thumbnail(dot)aspx?photoNum=1&t=I&catalog=Soccer&img=84758

    But don’t they change their crest every couple of years anyway??

    Paulie I think the point is that fans of Soccer in the U.S.A what we know as Football in Europe want a forward looking crest not something that looks like someone came up with it back in the 1950’s. But I would agree the last one with three stars gave it the look that the U.S.A had won the world Cup three times so myb what was needed was for their to be fifty stars with in the main body of a new updated crest with the stripes running across the bottom of the crest & U.S.A in the centre of the stripes. I don’t see many Soccer fans in the U.S.A likening the new kits from what has been dead on Facebook about the new crest from American soccer fans.

    More like the 30s, very Art Deco! (I know the French invented it but Manhattan OWNS it)
    You’re both right about the stars though.

    Complete sh i te . . . black?!? REALLY?!?! This is a “professionally-developed” design? Unbelievable. I’ve seen better mockups and designs (both badge and kits) on the internet. SMH
