This is the new Toronto FC away kit 2016, TFC’s new alternate strip for the 2016 MLS season. Made by Adidas, the new kit was officially revealed to the public on March 1, 2016.
The club, who have the likes of Sebastian Giovinco, Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore in their ranks, will be wearing a predominantly white shirt on the road this season. TFC’s primary red colour remains on the jersey, but this season, the club have opted to add a third colour- blue, a nod to the erstwhile Toronto Metro-Croatia and Toronto Blizzard NASL clubs. The colour is also present on the city of Toronto flag, another link to the TFC’s roots
Apart from being their principal away kit, the jersey will also be worn four times at home in the 2016 MLS season.
However the blue part of the shirt is far smaller than the red one, reminding fans that TFC will always remain red. The Adidas stripes on the side are also red in colour. BMO are principal sponsors. The maple leaf appears on the lower front of the jersey, with the words “All for One” appearing on the upper back.
The jersey will be worn with either red or blue shorts
