These are the new Sounders FC jerseys 2016, MLS outfit Seattle Sounders’ new home and third uniforms for the forthcoming MLS season. Made by Adidas, the new Sounders FC 2016 kits were officially launched on 19 February, 2016 and will be worn by the likes of Nelson Valdez (ex Bremen and Borussia Dortmund) and Clint Dempsey (ex Tottenham)
The Sounders have released a revamped “Rave Green” primary jersey and a “Pacific Blue” alternate/third kit.
The green home jersey features an interlocking “S” design woven into the fabric (inspired by Mt.Rainier). The arms and collar trim are both blue, with the Adidas stripes (also in blue) moving to the side of the jersey. The two colours are represented by the “Sky of Blue, Sea of Green” words that are present inside the necktape.
The lower front of the jersey features a jock tag in the form of the seal of the City of Seattle.
The upper back features the Sounders wordmark. The same jock tag also appears on the blue third jersey. The colour of this third kit takes inspiration from the Puget Sound (which also gave the Sounders their name)
Seattle’s average attendance for the 2015 season was well over 44,000, the highest in the league by some distance (Orlando were second with 33,000). They finished fourth in the Western Conference and sixth overall, but lost in the Western Conference semifinals to Dallas
