New PSV Jersey 2015-2016 PSV Eindhoven Umbro Kits 2015-16 Home Away

These are the new PSV shirts 15/16, Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven’s new home and away strips for the upcoming Eredivisie season. The new PSV kits have been made by Umbro, who replace Nike, and were officially revealed on June 25, 2015. The tagline for the release was “Light Up the Future”

The new home shirt contains PSV’s traditional red and white stripes, with black and gold detailing. The shirt features a collar, with the Umbro logo in white and that of sponsors Phillips in black. The strip is completed by black shorts and red and white hooped socks.

The new PSV away jersey is blue in colour with flourescent detailing, featuring horizontal stripes that divide the shirt into two diagonal halves. The Umbro and Phillips logo are both in white. On the back of the jersey, the words “eendracht maakt macht” are inscribed (meaning Unity is Strength in English)

PSV won the Dutch Eredivisie in 2014-15, finishing a comfortable seventeen points ahead of their nearest rivals Ajax. The 2014/15 title was also their first domestic league trophy in seven years. The win earned them a direct spot in the group stages of the Champions League, the first time they’ve been among Europe’s elite 32 teams since the 2008-09 season

Always good to see Umbro take over from Nike, but these are actually a little disappointing, you’d think they’d put more effort in for a big launch like this, this is nowhere near the ‘Tailored By’ quality.

I like the away, it’s adventurous.
A standard home kit and a bonkers away kit. That’s how it should be.

Nice kits from Umbro, i like both of them… The classically collar on the home, and the modern touch on the away…

Errrr…. Yeah… They’re okay I guess. Kind of expected more from Umbro though.

Marvellous – both home and away. Umbro are hitting some belters this season, like they haven’t done since the very early 90’s. Great work out of them.

PSV are a prime example of how well a shirt can look with a good sponsor. One which won’t have a conniption if the colour is changed to the suit the strip and whatnot. Two examples at the opposite end of the spectrum this year would be Man Utd and Marseilles.
