New West Ham Kit 15-16- WHUFC Umbro Boleyn Shirt 2015-2016

This is the new West Ham shirt 2015/16, a special Boleyn Ground tribute shirt for the Hammers made by manufacturers Umbro for the upcoming Premier League season. The 15/16 season will mark West Ham’s last season at the Boleyn Ground, a stadium they have called home for more than a century, ahead of their move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016.

The new WHUFC 2015/16 jersey is inspired by the strip worn the Hammers back in 1904, their inaugural year at the ground.

West Ham were with Adidas last season, and their home kit in 2014/15 received a very good response from the fans. This season, they’ve chosen to go with Umbro, who have a long association with the East London outfit.

The shirt’s predominantly claret with sky blue sleeves, and has special detailing on the crest and on the back, as the pics below show us.

West Ham finished 12th in the 2014/15 edition of the Premier League and will have Slaven Bilic in charge this season.

Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and Winston Reid are here seen modelling the new WHUFC home strip.

In the UK, the shirt can be bought at JD Sports or Lovell Soccer

Or shop for it online at well known US merchants World Soccer Shop

I don’t think it’s quite as good as last season’s Adidas showing, but it’s still a great kit.

Umbro deserve a nice pat on the back. First Derby County and then this one.

Anyone who looks at this and longs for the gaudy branding and wrong colour shorts of last season is missing the point of good football kit design completely.

The original 1904 kit had claret socks, so well done Umbro for bringing the design into the 21st century. Superb work.

FANTASTIC ! Well done Umbro, a truly traditional design. I thought last seasons kit was ghastly so this is a refreshing return to the old Hammers style ! I almost wish I was a Hammers fan ! everyone else can pack up their new designs and bin them, this is the kit of the season ! ! ! ! ! !!

Neat and elegant. “BetWay” in matching gold might have been an improvement (like Arsenal did with O2 on the Highbury farewell kit back in 05/06 season), but overall a beautiful retro themed kit to mark the farewell of one of the most iconic stadiums in the Premier League.
