New Coventry Nike Kit Deal- Sky Blues part company with Puma

Coventry City have appointed Nike (Just Sport) as their new kit partners for the next four seasons. The news was officially announced on June 5, 2015, meaning an end to the Sky Blues’ current deal with Puma.

The deal also means that Coventry’s current away kit (which was branded as a 14/16 away strip at the time of release) will not be worn in the 15/16 season, and the Sky Blues are currently selling it off for just £5 online

No official date has been given for the release of the new Nike kits, with chairman Steve Waggott saying they would be released “very soon”

I may be a Leicester fan but I still feel very sorry for Coventry fans considering their recent demise. Their last few kits have also been horrible and amateurish so I hope for their sake that Nike provide something better

Feel very sorry for Coventry with this news. We have just come out of a marketing deal with justsport and found it to be an absolute joke and glad to get rid of them. A shop crammed full of cheap and nasty avec gear with very little overpriced nike teamwear to be found.

“…saying they would be released “very soon”” in other words scrolling through the nike template catalog until they find a template that is similar to the clubs identity. No bespoke design what so ever. I genuinely don’t get why Coventry ditched Genesis Sports for Justsport to be frank, maybe too expensive for the club? Although Genesis sports use Puma templates at least there is some bespoke elements in the finished designs, even club initials on the socks. I feel sorry for Coventry, they shouldn’t suffer from the likes of Justsport, it’s going to make the club look cheap.
